September, a time for new beginnings and new challenges: the time has also come for Green Film to reboot after a long period of study, research and improvement.
Starting September 1st, the new Rating System will enter in force.
The process that led to the drafting of this new edition began exactly one year ago, with the launch of the public consultation that was participated at the European level. Based on the principles of ISO 14024, the consultation and the following steps involved all Green Film stakeholders, and in particular, the international network of partners, Institutions, Film Funds, Producers, Industry Associations, Sustainability, Green Managers and Verifying Bodies.
The new Green Film is the result of an updating process aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the rating system in terms of clarity, accessibility and sustainability and incorporating data from the comparative LCA analysis Green Film Research Lab conducted in 2022.
The result of this past year’s work will be presented at the prestigious 81st Venice International Film Festival, on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 15:30 @ Spazio Regione Veneto / Veneto Film Commission (Hotel Excelsior, Venice Lido).
The new rating system is updated to contemplate new perspectives, anticipate developments in the field of sustainability and give an additional boost to the industry’s transition.
At the launch event, speakers will be:
Luca Ferrario, Trentino Film Commission
Linnea Merzagora, Green Film
Serena Alfieri, Vivo Film
Luciano Vogli, Punto3
Moderator:
Jacopo Chessa, Veneto Film Commission
Following the event, the Green Film 2024 Rating System will become available online at green.film.
See you in Venice!
