Open Call | Green Film Lab in Budapest

Workshop in Budapest (Hungary)| 25 th – 27 th April 2025

Green FilmLab works to create awareness about sustainability in the film industry, starting from scratch.

It is a residential 3-day project-oriented workshop tailored for both audiovisual professionals and sustainability consultants. It advocates for environmentally sustainable methods in film production while providing professionals with fresh insights into implementing green protocols and obtaining certification.

The first workshop of 2025 will be held in Budapest thanks to the partnership with National Film Institute Hungary and JUNO11

Green Film Lab targets:

  • Film and tv series industry professionals involved in the early development, pre-production and production stages, interested in getting and improving their skills in sustainable practices on set. They can apply with or without a project to work on.
  • Professionals with at least two years of experience in the field of environmental management interested in learning how an audiovisual production is carried out.
  • Professionals from the screen industry already working on sustainability on set.
  • Delegates from Funds, Film Commissions, Film Institutions interested in knowing more about sustainability on set.

Workshop participation fee: 300 Euro (+ VAT, if due) per person

Participants will engage in simulating the development of a sustainability plan. The training will be enhanced with case studies and plenary sessions covering various aspects of sustainability.

Content is based on the Green Film Rating System featuring the sustainability plan and the certification process.

The workshop is held in English.

Green Film Lab is a programme by TorinoFilmLab and Green Film, organised by Museo Nazionale del Cinema and Trentino Film Commission. The programme is realised thanks to the support of Creative Europe-MEDIA Sub-programmeof the European Union, and in collaboration with ACE Producers and EAVE
