Green Film Lab wishes to raise awareness about sustainability within the film industry by hosting a three-day project-oriented workshop tailored for both audiovisual professionals and sustainability consultants. It advocates for environmentally sustainable methods in film production while providing professionals with fresh insights into implementing green protocols and obtaining certification.
The upcoming workshop will take place on 20th – 22nd September 2024 in Glasgow (Scotland), thanks to the collaboration between TorinoFilmLab/National Museum of Cinema, Green Film/Trentino Film Commission, Eave, Screen Scotland / Sgrìn Alba and BECTU Vision.

Participants will engage in simulating the development of a sustainability plan. The training will be enhanced with case studies and plenary sessions covering various aspects of sustainability. Content is based on the Green Film Rating System featuring the sustainability plan and the certification process. The workshop is held in English and open to 30 participants.
The experts involved are the Head of Studies Giovanni Pompili – Italian producer and TFL alumnus, Louise Marie Smith (UK) – founder and managing director of Neptune Sustainability, Dörte Schneider Garcia – Portugal-based experienced assistant director and green consultant and Lucie Trémolières – French-based writer and director for all kinds of dramatic media with a focus on emotional responses to the environmental crisis.
