2023 is almost over, and we are glad to take a look back to this very busy year and its accomplishments 

• After two years of work, the results of the Green Film Research Lab were presented in Berlin at the European Film Market and in Rome with ANICA 

• Three new partners have joined Green Film’s international network: the Greek Film Center  and Hellenic Film Commission, the Sicilia Film Commission, and the Toscana Film Commission
• The process of the update the Green Film rating system has started according to international standards to achieve the definition of a new shared, objective and transparent rating system
• We participated in many events, lectures and panels in the name of sustainability, starting with the event in Berlin and then moving on to the Venice International Film Festival and to the PRIX Italia RAI Academy in Bari and concluding in Rome with MIA
• In 2023, 3 Green Film Labs were organized across Europe. In Ireland , in Poland and at the MIA in Rome  and finally, the call for the next workshop was launched  and is open until the 8th of January
• During 2023,  producers who demonstrated the greatest commitment to making their projects more sustainable received the The Green Filming Awards at the 16th TFL Meeting Event and  the Green Film Award at the Trento Film Festival rewarded the film The North Drift” (Germany / 2021) by Steffen Krones, that most effectively expresses environmental protection and sustainability values and practices, with particular attention for the mountain environment and climate change

• More than 50 new Green Film certificates were issued in 2023, including films, documentaries, series, TV programs, ADV. Many certified films were selected and presented at festivals, or released in theaters during the year: two Green Films selected at the 73rd Berlinale

• four Green Films at the Rome Film Fest and at the Festival dei Popoli in Florence.
