In the 73rd Berlinale, during the European Film Market, the Greek Film Center joined the Green Film network of international partners.

The Greek Film Center and Hellenic Film Commission  are now members of this network of European regional and national film commissions and funds that use a common approach for the development of an environmentally sustainable audiovisual sector. 

This is a positive step towards harmonising Greece with international policies and practices aimed at reducing the environmental impact of productions.

The Hellenic Film Commission is translating the Green Film rating system into Greek, to make it available to local producers, and will undertake training initiatives to promote green practices in the film and audiovisual sector in Greece.
