Congratulations to all those that made the 2024 shortlist! Winners will be announced on
20 May in Cannes, France, during the Cannes International Film Festival.
Green Film in the last year launched a public consultation at the European level: a process that involved more than 50 stakeholders from 7 European countries: producers, Film Funds, Green consultants, Verifying Bodies and Public Environmental Protection Agencies, who were asked to evaluate the current version of the Rating System and suggest edits and updates according to their perspective and needs.
Simplicity, speed, clarity and representativeness were the guiding principles of the consultation, which consisted of online questionnaires, focus groups and an active working group. Listening, consultation and participation of all the parties involved led to the drafting of a new rating system which is now more complete and also includes aspects related to social sustainability.
Many congratulations also to SF Studios!
Their thriller Paranoia, first feature film to get the Green Film certification in Denmark, is shorlisted for Sustainable Production Award (scripted) in competition with major American and English studio productions.
SF Studios has been pushing for the green transition in the Danish film industry and has had a Sustainability Manager since March 2022.
Watch here how the production managed to get 45 points out of 50 on their first Green Film certification.
